Ahmedabad’s mall will be Lulu’s third in India, following units in Kochi, Kerala, and Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Yusuff Ali MA, Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu Group International, announced during an interview with ANI at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit that construction on the proposed shopping mall will commence in 2024. A miniature model of the mall has been unveiled at the UAE stall as part of the ongoing summit.
Ali stated, “The construction of India’s largest shopping mall will begin this year itself, starting with the miniature model on display.”
In September 2023, Ali had hinted at Lulu Group’s plans to establish two large shopping malls in Ahmedabad and Chennai. “We are set to construct one of the largest shopping malls in Ahmedabad and Chennai, and our new mall in Hyderabad will open by the end of this month. Additionally, we are exploring opportunities in various states for developing malls and enhancing our food processing capabilities,” he had disclosed during an earlier interview with ANI.
