About Invention Factory:

Invention Factory® is an innovative educational program that originated at The Cooper Union in New York City. It is designed to foster creativity and engineering skills among students by challenging them to develop original, patentable inventions. Participants work in teams to brainstorm, prototype, and refine their inventions over the course of several weeks, guided by experienced mentors and industry professionals.

The program emphasizes hands-on learning and practical problem-solving, encouraging students to think outside the box and apply their technical knowledge in new and innovative ways. Throughout the program, students receive training in various aspects of invention, including idea generation, prototyping, intellectual property, and presentation skills.

Invention Factory® has expanded internationally, including to IIT Gandhinagar in India, where it continues to inspire and cultivate the next generation of inventors and innovators. The program culminates in a final presentation where students showcase their inventions to a panel of judges, competing for prizes and recognition. Through this immersive experience, Invention Factory® aims to empower students to turn their ideas into tangible solutions that can have a positive impact on society.
