Butler, PA – Former President Donald Trump was injured in a shooting during his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday evening. The incident left a gunman and at least one audience member dead, with two other attendees critically injured, according to the Secret Service.

Trump took to social media to report that he was struck by a bullet in the “upper part of my right ear.” The Secret Service confirmed that the former president was quickly evacuated from the rally stage with blood on his face and is now safe. A spokesperson stated that Trump is “fine” following the “heinous act.”

The shooter, who fired multiple shots from an elevated position outside the rally, was killed by Secret Service agents. Law enforcement officials are investigating the incident as an attempted assassination.

President Joe Biden condemned the violence in remarks on Saturday night and expressed his relief that Trump is safe in a statement released earlier.
